Donations are vital to sustaining our continuum of mental health and substance use services with skilled providers, removing barriers to treatment and education, and meeting the urgent needs of the clients we serve. Please consider designating a one-time or monthly gift to one of our giving programs which provide children, adults, and families with access to compassionate care that can transform their lives. The rising cost of prescription drugs, high co-pays, and deductibles, in addition to limited and uncovered mental health services, may be the deciding factor in whether an individual or family can pursue needed treatment. Donations to the ‘Heart of Gold Fund’ help fund client therapy sessions, providing hope of recovery to hundreds of children, adults, and families in Carroll County.
ALICE is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed. The ALICE population consists of those who live above the poverty line and are working, but do not earn enough to afford childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare. Donations to the ‘ALICE Fund’ alleviate the cost barrier for services and assist clients in accessing community resources needed to ease the burden of financial insecurity.
When our staff is up against obstacles to meet the crucial needs of the clients and families that they serve, we depend on donors to help us ‘Move Mountains’ through philanthropic support. Donations to the ‘Moving Mountains Fund’ allows therapists to respond to the emergency and basic needs of clients facing ongoing monetary hardships and housing insecurity with help for meals, temporary shelter and more.
There is no one-size-fits-all program or treatment for clients and their families living with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. It is critical that we provide a full “continuum of care” of integrated, community-based mental health and substance use services for Carroll County residents from birth to elder adults. Donations to the ‘Heart of Life’ Fund support our prevention, intervention, and treatment services in the least restrictive and most cost-effective manner.
Evidence-based programs are the gold standard in the counseling field. These treatments are proven effective by rigorous research and testing of results. Because the cost to offer and administer these programs is much higher than the rate of reimbursement from public and private insurances, CCYSB must cover the difference for clients. Donations to the ‘Reason to Believe’ Fund ensure that all Carroll County residents have local access to the most innovative, high-quality treatments available in mental health: Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Brief Strategic Family Therapy Program (BSFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
Several our agency’s clients who require mental health or substance use counseling cannot afford gasoline to their scheduled appointments each week, resulting in cancellations. Donations to our ‘Chariot Fund’ support gas cards for our clients, increasing their ability to attend scheduled appointments and ensuring continuity of care.
To recognize Lynn’s dedication to CCYSB, we have created a new fund … The Lynn Davis Legacy Fund… which will provide support for CCYSB’s programs and various needs that are near and dear to Lynn Davis’ heart. Click here to learn more.
