FAQ

We accept Maryland Medicaid and most major private insurances. Co-pays are due at the time services are rendered. Due to variations between policies, it is best to contact your insurer directly to determine whether we are in their network for your plan.

Additionally, if you are uninsured or waiving your use of insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE). This GFE shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. The GFE does not include any unknown, unexpected or additional services that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur. If you are billed at least $400 more than this GFE, you have the right to dispute the bill.

The agency offers scholarship funding and a sliding scale payment option for low-income families with no insurance; families applying for financial assistance must have a child under the age of 18 and live in Carroll County. The referral coordinator will assist you through this process.

Yes – but don’t let our name fool you! Our agency also provides mental health and substance use services for adolescents, adults, and families.

Our agency offers substance use disorder treatment.  We do not offer classes specifically, but rather therapy sessions based on treatment recommendations and needs, in individual or group therapy modalities.  Our treatment is often approved by courts when they require alcohol classes as part of court orders.

The referral coordinator will send you a listing of other area resources in the community and help in any way that she is able.

CCYSB is an outpatient behavioral health clinic (mental health and substance use), serving people of all ages.

Therapists typically address mental health and substance use concerns related to individual trauma, childhood and adolescent development, substance use, family stressors and functioning, and attention deficit challenges. Marital therapy and the challenges of single parenting are also common treatment themes. Treatment for depression, anxiety and mood disorders are often successfully treated with a combination of medication and psychotherapy.
