Silver Oak Academy is a residential program that inspires learning, growth, and positive change for young men with a history of delinquent behaviors. The Carroll County Youth Service Bureau provides a collaborative treatment service to male adolescents ages 14 to 19 placed at Silver Oak Academy (SOA) in Middleburg, MD which is licensed through the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. Silver Oak Academy is a residential group home that provides academic, athletic, vocational, and treatment services to young men that need an opportunity to demonstrate a behavior change. Students are referred selectively to CCYSB for initial psychiatric screening and consideration of medication and case management services while also receiving integrated mental health services within the therapeutic setting of Silver Oak Academy.
