Referrals for the Acts of Violence Assessment & Treatment Program are received from within YSB's mental health clinic, Carroll County Public Schools, Department of Juvenile Services, Family Law Administration and Circuit Court. Services include an assessment for the potential for future violence, case management, and family therapy, utilizing the Brief Strategic Family Therapy model. The assessment interview evaluates a youth’s potential for violence, and provides a written plan outlining recommendations for school, mental health treatment, and family life.
