Mobile Treatment

In 1999, CCYSB developed a Mobile Treatment service to compliment the traditional outpatient program. Mobile Treatment, offered exclusively for Medical Assistance or "Gray Zone" eligible clients, is a community-based option providing outreach and support to children and adults who cannot be successfully served in traditional outpatient settings. Services are provided in homes, apartments, and shelter facilities. Services are individualized and based on consumer needs. Clients often have acute psychiatric needs that require ongoing support and medication management. Other services include support with daily living, housing assistance and case management. The Mobile Treatment team is composed of a psychiatrist, social workers, and a registered nurse. Emergency on-call services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therapists make regularly scheduled appointments and respond to emergency pager calls. The goals of Mobile Treatment are to connect consumers to community treatment services, reduce hospitalizations and emergency room visits, and to re-engage consumers in traditional outpatient services

Who's Eligible?

  • Individuals with psychiatric illness
  • Individuals transitioning from an inpatient facility
  • Individuals who have not been successful in traditional outpatient treatment
  • Adolescents and their families requiring intensive intervention
  • Individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
